MICONAZOLE Trade names: Daktarin (Janssen-Cilag), Lotrimin (Schering), Monistat (Personal Products), Oravig (Par) Indications: Fungal infections, oropharyngeal candidiasis Class: Antibiotic, imidazole Half-life: initial: 40 minutes; terminal: 24 hours Clinically important, potentially hazardous interactions with: anisindione, anticoagulants, astemizole, clopidogrel, dicumarol, gliclazide, simvastatin, thioridazine, tolvaptan, vinblastine, vincristine, warfarin Pregnancy category: C Note: Safety and effectiveness of Oravig tablets in pediatric patients <16 years of age have not been established. Use in younger children is not recommended due to potential risk of choking.
