ABSTRACT
The main objective of this chapter is to introduce sample size formulae for the parallel design by using the power analysis method for both the oneand two-sample problems. Numerical and theoretical comparisons of sample sizes needed for the parallel model with those required for the crosswise and triangular models are also provided.
