ABSTRACT

In Chapter 7, the Six Sigma methodology was presented in the perspective of the new tool developed by the team led by Alex Osterwalder in creating the Business Model Canvas. Although the intent of the development team was not directed toward the Six Sigma problem-solving method, it was laid out in concrete terms how the toolbox can be utilized in creating a new business model for the human resource (HR) function in your organization. It is my expectation that, in the process of creating the canvas, your thoughts also turned to the concept of how to implement that business model. Even though the Business Model Canvas is a great tool, it does not discuss how to implement the model. It is in this chapter that I take that model and consider in concrete terms the required steps to successfully implement the new business model.
