ABSTRACT
A toxicant or poison is a chemical substance which, aer entering an organism, is capable of eliciting smaller or larger adverse changes in the functioning of cells, tissues, or even the whole organism, resulting in the most severe and untreated cases in the death of the organism. e term “toxicant” denotes, above all, a synthetic substance causing adverse health eects.
