ABSTRACT
Bergamot is a Citrus grown primarily in Calabria, a region in southern of Italy; it is also grown in Turkey, Argentina, Brazil, Ivory Coast, and Uruguay, though in lesser amounts. Italian production is about 140,000 tons per year on a surface of about 1500 hectares, and fruit production cannot be considered important in a region that produces many other vegetables.
