ABSTRACT
Ecological processes can be classified in a number of ways. As the processes are transfer processes, one possible classification is based on what the process transfers: information, matter, energy, a number of organisms, for instance, or two or more of these four possibilities. The processes could further be classified in accordance with the applied mathematical description.
