ABSTRACT

A technical conference is probably the most formal of the occasions at which the average scientist or engineer will be required to speak. Preparation and presentation make greater demands than at less formal events and for this reason Part I of this book has been written very much with technical confer ences in mind. It remains therefore in this chapter merely to draw attention to a number of additional points.
