ABSTRACT
Chapter 2 provided a brief overview of the evolution of computing. We discussed the work of the mathematical logicians, the von Neumann machines, and the evolution of computers from the mainframe to the personal computers. Finally, we provided an overview of distributed computing, services computing WWW, and cloud computing.
