ABSTRACT
Semantic web, along with ontologies, is one of the most robust ways to represent knowledge. An ontology formally describes the concepts or classes in a domain, various properties of the classes, the relationships between classes, and restrictions. A knowledge base can be constructed by an ontology and its various class instances. An example of a knowledge base (ontology and its instance) is presented in Figure 23.1.
