ABSTRACT
Nutrient excretion rates of zebra mussels from Saginaw Bay, Lake Huron, and Hatchery Bay, western Lake Erie, were compared over a 3-year period. Rates were estimated from nutrient accumulation in bottles of ltered lake water to which mussels were added for short (3-4 h) incubations.
