ABSTRACT

The World Wide Web has evolved into a tremendous source of knowledge and it continues to grow at an exponential rate. According to Global Reach, 68% of Web content is in English. While a vast amount of information is available on the internet, much of it is inaccessible because of the language barrier. In order to make this knowledge resource available to non-English speaking communities, search applications that use native language interfaces are needed. Users should be able to specify search queries in their own language in order to retrieve documents and useful information from the internet.
