ABSTRACT

It could seem to be strange to present two unlike groups of drugs in one chapter. However, both groups presented in this chapter have one common property: They are often added as illegal additions to herbal preparations used as aphrodisiac or slimming aids. (Miller and Strip, 2007; Talati et  al. 2011). Therefore, they are often detected and determined together by various analytical methods, mainly in drugs formulations; one study (Yang et al. 2009) also touches the problem of postmortem TLC analysis in forensic toxicology.
