ABSTRACT
The chromatographic separation can be conducted when the stationary phase is in a thin layer. This kind of liquid chromatography is called planar chromatography or thin layer chromatography (TLC). When the stationary phase is a layer of tissue paper, then we mean paper chromatography; and if the stationary phase is distributed as a layer on a glass, aluminum, or plastic plate, we name it thin layer chromatography [1].
