ABSTRACT

Hired 5 years ago from outside the company to restore accountability and profitability, David had succeeded. The company, humming now on all cylinders, had achieved sales and profit projections for the last 3 years. The board is happy, the employees are satisfied, and the customers feel well served. Yet, David feels ill at ease. He foresees major market changes in the next 5 years. Greater offshore competition is emerging and new technology could obsolete his product.
