ABSTRACT
This chapter covers the major packaging applications for plastic films in the U.S. The contents are divided into sections, each dealing with a major application or market. For each market, we discuss the films that are used and why those films are most appropriate for that application. This requires repeated reference to film properties. To make the presentation more readable, these properties are discussed in qualitative terms. Reference to Table A.I will provide the necessary quantitative basis for the qualitative discussion.
