ABSTRACT

Now, origami is again being used in the education of young children in Japan, and has devotees of all ages there and all over the world. This is evidenced not only by a large number of books and other hardcopy publications, but by many origami-related web pages maintained by individuals and organizations (see, for example, [2], [7], [9], [14]). There are also examples of its applications to the teaching of English as a second language (ESL) and as a useful prop for practicing a variety of other skills on a simple level [3], [12].
