ABSTRACT

Wind is an inexhaustible resource of clean energy. It is a long-term strategy of new energy development in China to vigorously develop wind power. As shown by the statistical data of the global investment bank Jefferies & Co., the newly added wind power installed capacity in China amounted to 20 million kW and the total installed capacity to 62.70 million kW in 2011. According to the predictions given in China Wind Power Development Roadmap 2050, by 2020, 2030, and 2050, the wind power installed capacity in China will have amounted to 200 million, 400 million, and 1 billion kW, respectively, thus becoming one of the five major power sources in China, with a broad prospect of development.
