ABSTRACT
Proteomics is the study of proteins, especially in biological systems. Proteins are closely associated with genetics because genes code for proteins. The eld of proteomics is even more complex than that of genomics because the number of proteins is so much greater than the number of genes, and because the 3-D variations in the structures of proteins affect their specicity.
