ABSTRACT
As technology grows at an unprecedented rate, it is difficult to capture emerging technology trends into Lean practitioner’s best practices. Emerging technologies are considered innovative pieces of modern-day technology that manifests in hardware, software, or other improvement venues. Often, these technologies gain a foothold in commercial industries, government labs, or academic settings and provide a disruptive alternative to a current service or practice.
