ABSTRACT
This book provides an overview of Lean and the various Lean techniques such as value stream mapping, 5S, and single-minute exchange of dies. In addition, it provides real-world manufacturing, healthcare, and serviceoriented case studies applying these methods and tools. This chapter describes a view into the future with the attempt to project where Lean will evolve over the next decade.
