ABSTRACT

The Earth has motion. It revolves round the Sun and rotates on its own axis, which is the subject of astronomy and is similar to many other planets. The Earth itself has life, which is different to many other planets. The Earth’s life is demonstrated by the phenomena which are occurring frequently on the ground surface and can be observed or measured by human beings. They include earthquake, volcano, ground lightening, hot spots, landslides, land subsidence, sinkholes, and tsunami. They can have various occurring durations from seconds to years. They can have different quiet and peaceful periods of from years to thousand years at any locations and for any individual events. They can occur along wide distances from few meters to hundred kilometers and/or over wide ground areas of several square meters to thousand square kilometers. Many times, these crustal ground phenomena can cause disasters to human beings because we live on its outer and upper ground surface. They evidently demonstrate that the crust is always active and not quiet.
