ABSTRACT
In order to maximize the benefits from this new revenue pipeline, new metrics must be identified and tracked relentlessly. The COS-Q (cost, operations, service, and quality of care) snapshot was created as a tool to help discharge planning functions monitor all of these indicators. The COS-Q combines costs, operations, service, and quality metrics into a balanced report card that maximizes value for all stakeholders.
