ABSTRACT

A textbook that is primarily intended to impart some basic training to modeling of steelmaking shall largely fall short without a well-thought-out practice session. We feel that theoretical training imparted through earlier chapters shall remain incomplete unless the readers get an opportunity to lay hands on a few simple physical and mathematical modeling exercises. It is with this objective we have designed and developed the material presented here. With earlier chapters providing requisite background, the reader should now be formally ready to execute the modeling exercises presented later in the chapter.
