ABSTRACT
Earlier, we gave a more complicated but more elementary proof of the following theorem, using cyclotomic polynomials. There is a cleaner proof using the structure theorem for finite abelian groups, which we give now. [1] Thus, this result is yet another corollary of the structure theory for finitely-generated free modules over PIDs.
