ABSTRACT
We have pointed out that several parts of combinatorial design theory were studied because of statistical applications. In this section we shall sketch some of these applications. We give some detail in the first case (designs for weighing experiments). For further details and a description of the statistical methods used in analyzing experiments, see classical books on experimental design such as [42] or more recent volumes like [8]. A good book on statistical applications that makes frequent reference to the combinatorial background is [146].
