Technology-based communication relies upon the complexity-based six degrees of separation. This theory is the foundation of the success of social

media websites such as Facebook®, Plaxo®, LinkedIn®, and others that individuals and companies may use for personal or professional reasons. The expansions of these networks have caused many companies to restrict these sites; however, some organizations are beginning to understand the advantages they offer in certain areas. These websites create a unique opportunity to help the forward progress of a program.
