ABSTRACT
Leadership has been an evolving art since people have recognized the importance of organizing, be it for mutual defense to preserve a people or to organize people into an efficient work group. To understand leadership, one must review the historical context of leadership and the way that leadership has evolved to the modern day. The history of leadership can be viewed with a perspective of eras and theories. In order to capture the different leadership trends throughout the ages, different leadership eras have been defined.
