ABSTRACT
In practice large scale eigenvalue problems are solved with specific techniques discussed in this chapter. These techniques also provide the foundation for the dynamic reduction methods of this second part of the book. These computations are usually executed by employing a spectral transformation followed by a robust eigenvalue solution technique, such as the Lanczos method.
