How Do You Talk to Your Employees?

IC can stand for intensive care. But wait-it also stands for internal communications. When communications happen within an organization, they are called internal communications. And, by the way, effective internal communications might be just the kind of intensive care many organizations need. Since management historically talked to employees and employees were not expected to talk back, a synonym for IC (as used in this chapter) is employee communication. Therefore, this chapter discusses how managers and other leadership talk to employees.
