ABSTRACT
Chapter 4 explained how manufacturing systems can be designed for cellular manufacturing given a pre-defined family of products. The product designs were taken as fixed. Here we break that assumption and address the issue of how to jointly design products and manufacturing systems for cellular manufacturing.
