ABSTRACT
This chapter is based on Juho Nummela’s (2004) thesis. Juho is the president and CEO of Ponsse, a Finnish company that makes forestry machines and equipment. Juho developed an automatic, modular configurator for Ponsse during his research studies. The authors thank and acknowledge Juho for permission to reprint parts of his thesis and photographs of Ponsse equipment.
