ABSTRACT

The viscera from a group of 100-kg pigs are presented at a slaughter facility with multifocal fibrotic lesions in their livers and noticeable nematodes within the small intestine (1a). The pigs had been raised in a semi-outdoor management farm system with groups of 30- to 100-kg pigs kept on the same site. A faecal flotation examination of cohort 90-kg pigs is made (1b).
