ABSTRACT
At the beginning of Chapter 3, we questioned whether diffusion in the sense of Brownian motion discussed in Chapter 1 is a Gaussian-Markov process. The answer remains unsettled as we have been merely able to connect the one-point Gaussian distribution in Equation (1.50) to the one-dimensional position coordinate x of the Brownian particle.
