ABSTRACT
Several nontrivial decisions must be made in practical uses of PCA. In this chapter we discuss some of them, including dimensionality selection, reliability assessment, determination of the value of the regularization parameter, and treatment of missing data. Later in this chapter we discuss other topics of interest such as robust estimation, data transformation, joint plots of row and column representations, and probabilistic PCA.
