ABSTRACT
We have considered symmetric matrices (AT ¼ A) previously; also, in Chapters 4 and 6, we proved results about similar matrices and the diagonalization of matrices. In this chapter, we extend our understanding of these concepts, stating and proving theorems of great theoretical and practical importance. Most of our results will take place in the complex domain.
