Figure 8.10 (A,B) Colloid liver/spleen scan. This is a normal study, but there is an elongated thin left lobe which extends right over into the left of the abdomen. Unless the clinician is aware of this appearance, the posterior view in particular could be confused for a space-occupying lesion in the spleen.
