ABSTRACT

There is a close interrelation between physical scattering experiments and the so-called second order characteristics defined in stochastic geometry. In smallangle scattering (SAS), these functions, which are a bit modified sometimes, go by the name of SAS structure functions. In Chapter 1, the basic structure functions of SAS are introduced (Guinier & Fourne´t, 1955) [143]. Later on, the connections to the analogous functions defined in stochastic geometry are discussed (Stoyan et al., 1987, 1995) [210, 212].
