ABSTRACT

In this chapter, analytic expressions of chord length distribution densities (CLDDs) of elementary geometric figures are given, discussed and compared. Much work has been devoted to the cone case by several authors. This case is explained in detail in Section 2.1. Furthermore, the problem of automatically determining CLDDs via a computer algebra program is analyzed. The following sections involve CLDD plots calculated by Mathematica programs. Based on the analytic expressions, the step to the respective scattering patterns is simple.
