Career Planning Everyone needs a career plan. A career plan helps you determine your skills, abilities, and professional interests; what career best suits your short-and longterm objectives; and what training and development you will need for your chosen occupation. It is never too early to start a career plan. In fact, some parents begin putting ideas into the minds of their children at a very early age. Moreover, some children make decisions early in life regarding what career they will actually pursue.
