ABSTRACT
The above quote is equally applicable to the United States in the present era. Each and every day, various foreign entities attempt to break through our collective defense systems to illegally acquire US technological secrets. Some succeed; some don’t, and they try again and again. As such, US national security rests deeply upon the collective success of all government agencies and organizations, government contractors, researchers, manufacturers, research and development (R&D) units, information technology (IT) security professionals, and just plain interested and involved individuals who want to thwart these persistent attacks.
