ABSTRACT
One of the complications of IBD most feared by patients and physicians alike is the development of colorectal cancer. IBD is less commonly associated with other malignancies, such as cholangiocarcinoma. Fortunately, the risk of colorectal cancer can be partially mitigated by the use of colonoscopic surveillance. This chapter reviews risk factors for cancer and an algorithm for surveillance colonoscopy.
