ABSTRACT

I. Which Radiographic Views of the DEE are Important for the Evaluation of the Navicular Bone? The radiographic evaluation of the navicular bone is accomplished primarily using the 65°DP conedown, the 45°DP, and the flexor skyline projections. The LM view provides diagnostic information that tends to be supplemental to these other three views. The 65°DP-P3 does not contribute to interpretation of the navicular bone because the navicular bone cannot be visualized on this view. The dorso65°proximo45°lateral (medial)-palmarodistomedial (lateral) oblique (the heel projection) is a special view that provides valuable information concerning the extremity and distal abaxial region of the navicular bone.
