ABSTRACT

I. Introduction Veterinary education is deficient in radiology instruction for the AEP. Most curricula have a total of less than five lecture hours on equine radiology and the instruction commonly uses the “lookiewhoopee” technique for teaching radiographic interpretation. I believe that if one is to correctly interpret radiographs they must know what radiographic signs to look for and relate the findings to anatomical locations. This is the technique I will apply to the DEE leading to conclusions and impression about the diagnosis. The approach is very basic.
