ABSTRACT

In aluminum recycling, the ore body consists of scrap metal found on the ground, rather than in it. However, the similarities are greater than what might appear at rst. Aluminum scrap comes with gangue minerals of its own, in the form of attached items and coatings. It also includes impurity elements that can have a signicant inuence on the recycling process. As a result, a description of the ore body for aluminum recycling will explain why some processes and strategies have been adopted.
