From an industrial engineer’s perspective, the healthcare industry has such enormous potential for process improvement that those initiatives would mean employment for tens of thousands of Americans for decades. It is also the industry that is most vulnerable to unethical practices, untrained employees, inadequate facilities and equipment, and an outdated educational system. That’s just the beginning!
