ABSTRACT

It is important that management identify an organization’s pest control subject matter expert. It is recommended that there be a primary and a backup person identi-ed. These positions should have training or familiarity with pest control protocol. This can be learned through assistance with an independent pest control expert consultant or through a reputable pest control service company. When initially choosing a pest control service supplier, ensure that the requirements are well dened and communicated. Their performance must be monitored continuously with any issues addressed effectively and in a timely manner. Review the process and products to ensure that the organization is receiving the best possible protection. The frequency of visits may depend on the products, the time of year, building design, building age, amount of internal control required, and the organization’s processes.
