ABSTRACT

Brief information about nanofluids Modern technology allows for the fabrication of materials at the nanometer scale. Nanouids consist of ultrane metallic or nonmetallic nanoparticles in a base uid (polar or nonpolar) where the nanoparticles are generally in the size range 5-60 nm with a surfactant or polymer coating to prevent the agglomeration of nanoparticles. A nanouid does not mean a simple mixture of solid nanoparticles with a liquid. Special techniques are developed to obtain good dispersion of nanoparticles in liquids or to directly produce stable nanouids (Murshed et al., 2008).
