You see a 67-year-old patient in clinic with newly diagnosed synchronous metastatic sigmoid cancer. He has a high BMI. He has four metastases in segments 6, 7 and 8 and a small metastasis in segment 2. He has not yet had a sigmoid resection. How would you manage this patient?
