ABSTRACT
Decomposition is a great tool to simplify analysis. For example, the decomposition of force has become a basic technique in physics and is also widely used in other disciplines such as engineering. In linear algebra, LU decomposition factors a matrix as the product of a lower triangular matrix and an upper triangular matrix, which greatly simplifies operations such as the inversion of a matrix, the calculation of the determinant of a matrix, etc. The decomposition of a biological network not only simplifies its analysis, but also allows for a clearer elucidation of the relationship between network structure and biological function [36]. It is thus expected that the decomposition of the PI3K-AKT-TOR pathway would provide valuable insights into the study of metabolism and growth.
