ABSTRACT
This chapter offers several different wells that can be used to design a hydraulic fracturing treatment for using the concepts outlined throughout the previous chapters and the workµow shown in Table 18.1. There is a description of the well, a data set, and a set of questions about each of the wells provided with each of the problem sets. A suggested solution is also provided following each data set. The best way to work through each of the problems is to either set up your own spreadsheet using the equations outlined in Chapter 18 or use the Excel spreadsheets provided at the Taylor & Francis URL: https://www.crcpress.com/product/isbn/9781466566859. This URL also contains duplicates of the well documents shown in the following along with solution spreadsheets. Also included is a “QUIK” design spreadsheet that will solve all the design equations and offer a pump schedule.
